Credit Counseling Course

All debtors filing bankruptcy are now required to complete a credit counseling course before they can be eligible for bankruptcy. Congress passed a bill in 2005 making credit counseling a prerequisite to bankruptcy. Anyone wishing to file bankruptcy must now have a certificate proving completion of the counseling course.

Governmentally approved counselors teach these courses and help debtors understand money and debt management better. Debtors come out of this class with a better understanding of how to manage their income and their debts. Most of our clients have expressed that the course was very informative and useful.
